CETDEM Hari Organik, our signature event, will be held on Saturday, 15 April 2017 in Bandar Utama Community Centre PJ.

“Hari Organik” is organized by Centre for Environment, Technology and Development, Malaysia (CETDEM) and supported by Selangor State Government, MBPJ, BURA, BURASC, Local Agenda 21 PJ as well as Wellness Concept (M] to bring the community together to learn the importance of organic farming and how to cook, eat and grow organically.


The Hari Organic will show case local products/produce that are available in the market. There will be series of talks and demonstration on health matter as well as how to convert kitchen and garden and put into good use and tips on setting up an organic home garden on that day.


Besides farmers selling their organic veggies and fruits, organic fruit saplings; organic herb/vegetable seedlings and seeds, manufacturers and traders will be there with their special offer organic compost, body health & skincare products and many others. Also available to whet one’s appetite is organic white curry laksa, organic breads/buns, quick breads and ulam etc.


Visitors are encouraged to bring their own shopping bags and tiffin-carriers.


Entrance is free.

Besides, we also offer varieties of ulam/herbs as well as house plants that have the ability to remove indoor air pollutants or produce oxygen and remove carbon dioxide at night.
The Objectives of this small farmer’s corner include:

* To Cater specifically for small organic farmers as an outlet to market their produce.
* To Cultivate closer relationships/trust amongst farmers and consumers.
* To Provide fresh and affordable organically grown vegetables to consumers.

It is going to be an exciting Organic Day this round as we have more organic vegetables on sale….. Come and taste the Thai salad, Thai sauce and curry paste prepared by the Thai farmers! They are certified by ACT (Organic Agriculture Thailand) accredited by IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements). They are here to promote their produce and products and are looking for distributors/importers aside from sharing and exchanging information and experiences.

You will definitely be spoilt for choices of skin care/health products and groceries….. Come and pick your choice of vegetables /fruits/vermi & LM compost/fertilizer/seedlings/seeds and much more. If you are looking for earthworms and want to start vermi – composting, kits are available for sale.

Bring your family and relatives for breakfast & lunch, varieties of breads, buns. Fried noodles and curry laksa etc are available. Come to the CETDEM booth and we will show you how to eat Ulam without the sambal belacan and the simple way of making your own healthy green tea!

Join us for the hard pressing issues on WATER & HOW organic are the organic vegetables/fruits in the market.

The 22 edition Hari Organik is in Bangsar for the 4th consecutive year!
Hari Organik is an event where you get to meet the farmers/producers and other organic business entities to consult on organic farming / gardening practices; wellness/health products/food that are good for your health and much more!

If you are looking for organic mattress and pillows, household and skin care products, organic compost, fertilizer, vegetable seeds and seedlings, this is the place for you! For those who are looking for FIG saplings at reasonable price, come to us as stocks are limited!

If you are concerned of how organic are those products/ produce in the market, join us for the open dialogue with the farmer/producer & Retailer.

Water! Water! How much do you Know and Care? Issues around Consumers, Government and Environment…. Engr. Gurmit Singh will be there to share with you his concerns!

    CETDEM is organising a Trip to Titi Eco Farm Resort on 23th October 2016 (Sun.)

Titi Eco Farm Resort is located in N. Sembilan, 9km from Kuala Kelawang, is 1000ft
above sea level and surrounded by hills and lush greenery. It is approximately 1½ hours drive from KL. The farm resort has a total area of 35 acres with 12 acres of organic vegetables, 3 fish ponds, 5 acres of livestock consisting of ostriches, chicken & turkey, and 15 acres of various types of fruit trees. It houses a SPA & a Food Processing Farm /FP Factory has been certified by NASAA, an Australia Certified Body.
